First and foremost - I am a father of 3 children (living in Estonia) who is wondering about the future of my kids will look like when they grow up:

How will AI change the labor market and the meaning of work?
How will world itself change by that time?
Which risks should I prepare them and myself for?

I feel that I have a responsibility to prepare them for this changing world. To do this, I am trying to dive into the field of AI and AI safety, hoping to educate myself and people around me. In this endeavor, I will rely on my previous background:

I have PhD in mathematics;
I have 16 years of IT experience as a developer, analyst, project lead, researcher, and architect.

My goal is to find the essential parts of the AI field that are relevant to everyone and write about them in simple terms that are understandable to as wide an audience as possible.
